Name: Nicole Scott
Title: Head of Mentorship
Law School: Osgoode Hall Law School, Class of 2022
Background: I come from a small farming town two hours north of Toronto. As a third-generation farmer, I have learned the value of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Education has never been my strong suit, but I have taken these values I have learned growing up and applied them to my education. I am the first in my family to pursue and complete post-secondary education. Without support of my family and friends, I would not be where I am today. There are many challenges being a first-generation student, but those challenges make us stronger. Each step we take, no matter how small is an achievement. I am forever grateful to my community for supporting my ambitions and to the FGN network for creating a space for first-gen students to come together.
Current and Future Plans: Currently preparing for the 2L recruit. As for future plans, one step at a time.
Fun Facts About Me: I own a 1957 pink Pontiac. On Sunday’s you can find me and my golden retriever Bear touring around the countryside.
Advice for Incoming Law Students: It’s okay to be scared. Just know you can handle this, and you are meant to be here.
